Cupid Earrings
Enameled Angel – One‑of‑a‑Kind Earrings
I discovered the enameled angel in an antique jewelry shop in Antwerp, Belgium. It was tucked away in a drawer among other enamel plaques that once adorned old pieces of jewelry. This oval enamel dates back to around 1850. I instantly fell in love with it and felt that this little angel deserved a more beautiful place.
Bow and Arrow
The angel was missing its bow and arrow, so I created new ones. The bow is crafted from mokume-gane, chosen for its warm, wood‑like texture. The arrow is made from twisted gold wire, giving it a romantic feel alongside the pastel sapphires, rubies, and pearl. To make the bow and arrow stand out, they are made in red gold, while the rest of the earring is crafted in yellow gold.
Enameled Angel
The angel is set in a soft, romantic composition. The enamel is framed in 24k gold and suspended from a band of mokume-gane and red gold. Rubies set in red gold contrast beautifully with the pastel sapphires and tiny pearl, each stone carefully selected to complement the enamel. The entire piece hangs from a heart‑shaped sapphire stud, adding a final romantic touch.
